We are a reliable, trustworthy, active, empty-nester couple who enjoy traveling. Our past home ownerships have given us many skills in renovations, repairs, maintenance and landscaping which will give a homeowner peace of mind that we are capable house sitters. Caring for and loving our pets has always been an important part of our family life since we were both young children and this is a joy we have shared with our two sons. Many of our happiest cherished memories are the ones we have shared with our furry family members while enjoying long walks, playing at the beach, camping or cuddling on the couch together. For these reasons our friends have entrusted us with their homes and pets many times in the past while they travelled. This experience has given us the confidence in knowing that we can take care of and respect other people's property and pets.

Prior to being semi-retired we were both business owners. Vic owned a commercial and residential pool and hot tub company in Fernie, B.C. which included retail sales, repairs, service and maintenance for seventeen years. Heather is semi-retired and continues to have a small bookkeeping and income tax preparation business with a variety of clientele since 2000. We also operate an Airbnb suite within our home and felt proud to attain the level of Superhosts because of our outstanding guest reviews. Our guests always commented positively on our high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Being experienced travelers to many countries we are very adaptable to different environments and cultures and we enjoy "living as locals". We welcome you to contact us for further information about us and are happy to provide references.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Heather and Vic. Not only were they communicative and thoughtful, they cared for the house and pets as if they were their own. They brushed the pets, walked Freya and fixed the drip irrigation system when it sprung a leak. They even sent pictures of the pets when I was away. They are extremely thoughtful people. They also left the house sparkling clean. I hope that Heather and Vic are available again for another house and pet sit.

Heather and Vic are very gentle souls! We trusted them right from the first time we met them. They looked after our house, pets and plants with great care and we would have no hesitation to have them house sit again. They left the house sparkling, pets content and plants perky!

I could not have asked for better sitters, especially as they were complimentary about my dog!!! She was very well taken care of and I returned to a lovely supper at the end of a long drive home. They also battle an infestation of caterpillars and are prepared to come back next week, which is awesome. Thanks Heather and Vic.

We really enjoyed our time with Abby. She is very easy going, well behaved and a delight to walk. Diana has a lovely home and had a delicous dinner ready for us when we arrived. We would not hesitate to look after Abby again.
