We love meeting people, living with animals, and traveling. We enjoy being with and caring for animals. I am a retired researcher and teacher (with relevant back-ground checks), and am an aspiring small business owner.

My homeschooled 10-year old son loves being with animals and is a natural with cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, and goats. In previous years, I farm-sat, also taking care of pigs, horses, bears (chasing them off the land), and a faithful old dog! I also did house-sitting for a traveling couple.

We will take good care of your furry and/or feathered family as if they were our own. As a former house-owner and a house-cleaning business owner, I know what is needed to protect and care for your house.

About us: We have traveled to East Europe, Republic of Ireland, Wales, England, Canada, America and Mexico. Together, we have lived off-grid and taken care of animals, van-camped, lived with my elderly mother, volunteered at an organic rose farm, and stayed in a former Communist camp in Eastern Europe. Over the last summer in Alberta, my son participated in three summer camps while I volunteerd in the kitchen, in the washrooms and gardens.

Note: We are free to sit on Central Vancouver Island until early April, 2024, and in Alberta from May to October, 2024.

Our daily rate for basic care is $10/day. This is negotiable.
