Hello there! I'm Marina, a joyful spirit born and raised in the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC. I relocated to Australia in 2019 to live with my wonderful partner, and while Australia is my home base, Vancouver holds a special place in my heart. My roots, family, and friends are here, and I cherish the times I get to spend soaking in the familiar surroundings. My travels across Asia, Mexico, and Australia have not only expanded my horizons but have also enriched my understanding of people and cultures. At times I will be housesitting on my own or with my partner when we are travelling together.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management, I initially ventured into the tourism industry, a domain that fascinated me. However, as life unfolded, I switched paths and am now thriving as a Content Writer for Nurse Next Door, a home care company with the headquarters based in Kitsilano. My remote work grants me the flexibility to be present at home, making me perfectly available to tend to your plants or pamper your pets. Moreover, I am working on launching my brand, Joyfully Alive, and have recently completed a course in Holistic Psychology. All of this is aimed at a fulfilling mission to help others reclaim their joy.

As a kind and empathetic person, I pride myself on my integrity and core values: joy, kindness, communication, transparency, and honesty. I have extensive experience in house-sitting for family, friends, and acquaintances. My partner and I, who own a house in Byron Shire, understand the importance of having tenants who respect and care for the home as if it were their own.

Having been raised with cats and an Australian Shepherd, I am very well-versed in pet care. Cats and their intriguing mannerisms particularly endear themselves to me. I respect their space and let them warm up to me at their pace. If your dog needs a companion for walks or your cat craves some cuddle time, I’m your person!

I appreciate the tranquility of a peaceful home and am not much of a host. Socializing for me happens outside the home. My hobbies include bike riding, walks, hitting the beach, reading (an absolute bookworm here!), and indulging in creative pursuits like writing and painting.
