favoriteWhy I love house sitting

I like the community spirit of housesitting. I was on HomeExchange for around 8 years before housesitting. It allowed me to travel local and live in warm homes while hosting people at mine, so I know both sides of the experience, hosting and being a guest. Also having the company of cats is lovely!

I am a solo traveler in my mid forties. For the last years, I have been travelling by myself. I also work remotely and do academic research and that requires quietness and consistency. So, I did some long housesits that allow me to focus on my work while enjoying cats company and spending time with them.

I am very discrete, quiet, tidy (a bit of clean freak :) ). I like the company of cats and taking care of them is a source of pleasure for me.

I can send a link of my profile of TrustedHoussiters, and you can have a look at my profile and reviews. I am definitely a cat lover, that's why I do exclusively catsiting.
I have sitted all sorts of cats in the past: old, young, outdoor, indoor, shy, super hyper active, rescue cats...etc. I just give them the space and time they need to adapt to my presence.
I've also been in different houses, took care of plants, mowed the lawn, shoveled in Winter, collect mail, start the cars so that the battery doesn't go off.
I have stayed in very remote places as well as urban ones, so I am comfortable with anything in between. I also stayed once in an Off Grid house on remote location in Cape Breton and it was a great experience.
