Passionate about travel, I would like to discover my country; Canada! As a solitary traveler, the presence of animals is precious: it fills my need to give and receive affection, while combining my training, animals and travel.

Hi! My name is Jacynthe, and I’m from Quebec. I’m looking for opportunities to house-sit and care for animals in Western Canada.

I have a deep love for Western Canada and have been wanting to return for a long time to explore more of it. I had the chance to visit Alberta in 2024, and it truly left a mark on me. I have a lot of experience with animals, having grown up around dogs, cats, and farm animals. I’m responsible, calm, attentive, and very respectful of each animal’s routine and needs. I would be happy to provide companionship, walks, feeding, basic care, and lots of affection.

Professionally, I work as a personal support worker, both in healthcare facilities and in home care. My whole family has always been connected to the medical field, and my sister is a veterinarian, so caring for others — humans and animals — has always been part of my environment.

I’m also currently studying online to become an orthotherapist, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend quality time at home with the animals. I would love to offer a warm, reliable, and caring presence while you are away.

Read moreI grew up surrounded by dogs, often several at the same time, and animals have always been part of my daily life. Over the years, I have often done service to family members and friends by babysitting their dogs and cats during their holidays, in addition to having had some contracts for people I did not know.

I have also worked on my parents' farm since I was very little, in addition to giving a good hand to other farmers as needed: sheepfold, cattle, horses, chickens, etc. I touched a lot of things, which taught me to be responsible, attentive and comfortable with different types of animals.
