I am a mature woman living on Vancouver Island. I’m seeking opportunities to house and pet sit to hopefully expand my horizons and explore new places.

favoriteWhy I love house sitting

I love the idea to get to know different places by living in a community. Also get to enjoy some pet time as I don’t have any pets of my own right now.

When we leave our home and pets we need to be assured that everything and everyone is properly cared for. No one needs to be constantly concerned while they are away.
I don’t have any pets now, but have had many in the past. I have a fondness for cats and I am quite comfortable dealing with their care and particular personalities.

I know It can take some pets a few days to adjust to their human being absent, but others are quite happy as long as they get fed at the right time and have the appropriate amount of ear scratches and play time if that is what they like.
I enjoy gardening and baking and I’m quite knowledgeable about home care as I have owned several homes and spent a good part of my working life as a real estate broker.
A bit more about me: I’m an active senior who likes hiking, biking, reading among many interests. I’m a retired sailor, lived aboard a sailboat for a few years.
I am tidy, considerate and will be respectful of your home. I can provide peace of mind while you are away for your pets, plants and home.

I do not smoke or use cannabis.

We are so grateful to Susan for taking such wonderful care of our two young cats. She is an experienced and knowledgeable cat person which made us feel relaxed leaving them in her care. We appreciated that she was so patient and understanding with our male cats food motivation. He can be a lot and it was no problem at all for her.
