Hello, I’m Ophelie (Jie), a gentle, responsible, warm-hearted house & pet sitter with a global professional background and a deep love for animals, nature, and the quiet peace of a well-kept home.

I’ve lived and worked across Asia, Europe, the United States, and now Canada, and much of my career has been dedicated to humanitarian work and international cooperation, serving with organizations that hold consultative status at the United Nations. These experiences shaped who I am today — someone who values sincerity, reliability, empathy, and respect.

House-sitting is not just a task to me; it is an act of care. Whether I’m comforting a cat who misses its owner, walking a loyal dog who just wants companionship, or watering flowers that brighten a home, I feel grateful to create peace and safety while you’re away.

Animals naturally relax around me — perhaps because I move softly, speak gently, and treat each life with tenderness.

A home is a sacred space. I care for it with devotion:

maintaining a clean, peaceful, organized environment

protecting your privacy and security

handling your home as respectfully as I would my own

I’m a Christian, living a quiet, clean, honest lifestyle.

I do not smoke, drink, party, or bring visitors. As a single woman, I live simply and respectfully — I will never bring men into your home or engage in any inappropriate behavior. You can feel fully safe entrusting your space and your pets to me.

(If a homeowner ever prefers additional help, my parents sometimes would travel with me —who is wonderful with walking dogs, gardens, pets, and household care—may occasionally accompany me, adding quiet support when needed.

We are Asian, and culturally we are actually very used to sleeping on the floor on mats (similar to a tatami-style setup). We always travel with our own padded sleeping mats, and we normally do not use the host’s bed. In most sits, we simply set up our mats in the living room and bedroom nearby the bed, we sleep comfortably on the floor or carpet area.)

I am comfortable caring for chickens, goats, and outdoor dogs, assisting with feeding, cleaning, collecting eggs, and maintaining simple outdoor tasks. I love nature and enjoy quiet mornings, gentle routines, and working with my hands. I am also experienced in garden and plant care—watering, pruning, harvesting vegetables, and keeping outdoor areas tidy. I follow instructions carefully, respect animals deeply, and approach every task with patience, safety, and kindness. I learn quickly and adapt easily to each farm’s routines. For me, caring for animals and land feels grounding and beautiful.

Amazing experience. Ophélie was a pleasure to deal with. Great communication before, during and after sit. My house was well cared for and my 2 dogs were very loved. She sent regular updates and many photos while I was away. Her parents joined her and they were a delight as well. I came home to a very tidy home and very happy dogs. I would absolutely recommend Ophélie and her parents. And would use her again if I can. Thank you so much!
Ophelie is a very responsible, kind, and trustworthy house and pet sitter. She took great care of both my home and my cat. She made a concerted effort to communicate and to keep me up to date on things at my place while I was away as well as replying promptly to any messages from me. I definitely don't hesitate to recommend her and you can feel quite at ease if she is watching your place and pets. My cat was very relaxed and content when I got home so I knew she was well looked after.
Ophelie and her parents have just house/pet sat for us. To say they were amazing is an understatement, not only did they look after the house and our dog Buddy as if they were their own, the house was immaculate when we got home. All our neighbors commented how happy and content Buddy looked when they saw him out on his walks, but how often he was walked. The communication with Ophelie was fantastic with regular videos and photos of Buddy. I even got photos of what mail had arrived! I cannot ...
