My partner (Roberta "Robbie") and I are new to the idea of housesitting but would love to give it a try!

As you will have noted, we are new to the "housesitting" arrangements but eager to put our best foot forward and give it a try.

Robbie and I will do our best to make our house sittings a success for you, as owners, and also for your pets.

Robbie is the owner/operator of Bob's Music Plus in Pembroke Ontario, the largest music store between Ottawa and North Bay which, besides sales and rentals, also offers instrument servicing and repairs, a recording studio and a busy music school. "Bob" is, in fact, "Robbie" and the business is now in its 28year.

For myself, I am enjoying retirement, golf and hockey after more serving more than 30 years as a Crown Attorney in Renfrew County, eastern Ontario and a brief junket in Nunavut.

As pet owners, Robbie has dearly loved "Max" and "CJ" who were brothers and an interesting Dachshund/Maltese cross who are sadly no longer with us.

Over a lifetime, I have owned a variety of dogs, but my heart has always belonged to the Irish Wolfhounds that I have previously owned.

You can add a variety of cats that we have owned and cared for over the years and, additionally, I have owned and cared for several horses.

Currently, we have no pets, whatsoever, and regret that circumstance.

If we housesit for you you can expect that your pets will get our full attention and at least as many cuddles as they are used to.

Our preferences are for house sits from late March through November with a maximum duration of 2-3 weeks.

Peter and Robbie were excellent and went above and beyond my expectations. We video chatted before the stay and they didn’t hesitate to ask pertinent questions. They continued to regularly keep me updated about Kai and my home while I was away. They took very good care of Kai with walks and playtime and sent me pictures of her throughout their time with her. Robbie even offered to do some yardwork, something that was not a requirement of the stay and Peter paid duty charges on my behalf for ...
