We enjoyed our pet sitting adventures in Georgia, North Carolina, and Virgina this past winter/spring (2025). The time we spent with the dogs we cared for was priceless/invaluable. We also enjoyed the new communities we encountered, the hikes, and the new friends (home/pet owners) that we met.

My husband Pete is a handyman who is semi-retired and has his own business and I am a retired high school teacher who now works part-time at a golf course in cottage country (Muskoka, Ontario) during the summer.

We both love boating, travelling, and meeting new people and pets:)

We have three kids (Clayton, Jaz, and Connor), who are now all self-sufficient and busy with their careers. Our friends have dropped their dogs off at our house to look after and we have stayed in various homes in the US this past year pet sitting (Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia). We are used to the feeding and walking schedules as we have our own English Golden Retriever who is now 11 years old. My husband and I are very active and enjoy hiking with the dogs and throwing the ball/playing tug of war etc..

My dad grew up on a dairy farm and I used to help feed the farm animals when I was an adolescent. Although my husband grew up in the city, he is open to new experiences and is willing to do the necessary tasks such as feeding, letting the animals outside, and cleaning stalls.

Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of having Nicole and Pete stay at our home to look after our dog, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, they were reliable, responsible, and incredibly kind — exactly the type of people you hope to find when trusting someone with both your home and your beloved pet.
Our dog was clearly happy and well cared for, and the house was spotless when we returned. But what truly impressed us was how Pete went above and beyond: without us even asking, he noticed our garage door opener wasn’t working properly and took the time to fix it. He’s a real handyman and his willingness to help in that way shows the level of care and attention they bring to everything they do.
We are so grateful for the peace of mind Nicole and Pete provided, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy couple to look after their home and dog.
They exceeded our expectations in every way, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have them back
again.

Pete and Nicole were awesome pet sitters! They looked after our furry babies with love and care, and even send us pictures! They left our house spotless, even took the time to wash sheets and towels before leaving. We strongly recommend them and we hope to see them again soon!
Nicole and Pete looked after our century home for our 3 week trip to Europe. The house was kept in immaculate shape and they were quick to communicate regarding any issues that arose. Our cat and large dog were well looked after. I highly recommend booking them if they are available.
We are very grateful that we found Nicole and Pete. They were clear and timely with all communication. They took exceptional care of our pets and our place. There was a big storm on their 2nd night which knocked out the power and despite the challenges for having no power, they remained positive in their care and communication. We would be grateful to have them stay with our pets any time.

Nicole and Pete were excellent sitters, conscientious in every way. It's amazing that we choose to put our entire home and belongings in the hands of strangers, but I did. They are totally trustworthy. They were great companions for my kitty. They left everything spotless from floors to frig to linens. We communicated via text just enough during the five weeks. Nicole and Pete did not have an easy time - arriving in midst of a snow storm which meant house was without power and also having another power outage during their stay. They took these challenges in their stride, were resourceful and they kept us well informed thus ensuring we were confident they could manage unexpected ... They are a delightful couple who communicate easily and ask questions to make sure they have everything clear while I would be out.
