We are experienced pet sitters in Australia and New Zealand who are seeking new opportunities in Canada. We arrived to Canada in January 2026.

We love animals, and living in an unfamiliar place is so much more comfortable when we have the opportunity to stay in a home with a loving pet. We also love to build relationships with owners who are able to have their own travel experiences by trusting us with their beloved pet(s).

Hugo and Karrigan are a dog and cat-loving couple who met while both living in Spain in January 2022. Hugo is from Spain and Karrigan was born in the United States. We have each done a 12-month working holiday visa in Australia, then New Zealand where we have cared for the beloved pets of more than 20 families.
Travel and exploring new places is our passion, and we have found no better way to do it than housesitting. Hugo is an avid runner and soccer player, and Karrigan is never happier ... Most recently, we were live-in helpers for a family during a 6 month stay with a 5-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer and then house sat a 9-year-old long-haired dachshund for a month in Christchurch, New Zealand.
In Australia, we lived in Perth and Darwin and cared for both cats and dogs of various breeds and personalities.

Karrigan and Hugo are wonderful people and great pet/house sitters! They were communicative and reliable both before and during the pet sit. We came back to happy pets and everything well looked after! I highly recommend them both as pet/house sitters. We feel lucky that they are coming to help us out again shortly.
Hugo and Karrigan are the best! Very personable, responsible and trustworthy. We were not able to meet in person before we agreed to a sitting arrangement, but after some emails I felt comfortable/confident with having them in my home. Communication was excellent. They kept me informed on a regular basis before and during my time away When I returned, it was like I never left...you'd never even know anyone had been inside. Karrigan and Hugo were a dream come true for us! From the first time we chatted, we knew they were a perfect match for our home and fur babies! They took incredible care of ALL our animals, our home, and our houseplants (my cherished orchid was not only alive-but THRIVING!) We came home to happy, healthy animals and a spotless home. I'm pretty sure our babies are wondering when their new friends are coming back home :) We all HIGHLY reccommend them to anyone looking for house/pet ... Karrigan and Hugo looked after our house and German Shepherd over one of the hottest months in Perth. The house was left very clean and plants well looked after. We also came home to a very content ‘boy’. Thank you Karrigan and Hugo. I would highly recommend them as house sitters.

Their communication was prompt always keeping us in the loop of the kids and anything to do with the property as there was quite a storm while we were away. They looked after two dogs. One still quite young and the other much older. They both took excellent care of them both and we arrived home to such happy dogs. Great care was taken with everything they did.
