House sitting is the perfect mix of responsibility, companionship and quiet. It's rewarding giving pet owners peace of mind while their furry friend sticks to their usual routines.

It's also nice to have the extra motivation to take someone outside for a hike, besides myself, from time to time!

Hi there. I’m a registered nurse from Australia, currently exploring Canada on a WH permit. I’m neat, considerate, and I enjoy being in quiet spaces that make me feel like home isn't quite as far away. Having a pet family around help a lot with this!

Travel nursing in Australia has taught me how to adapt, stay calm under pressure, and prioritise the important things on a daily basis.

You can expect clear communication, diligent care, and regular photo / video update when your pet is feeling particularly photogenic.

Pet care

I've previously looked after dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits and guinea pigs. I am comfortable caring for small birds if very clear instructions are provided (I'm not familiar with wing clipping). I have some experience feeding and watering horses (but not longterm care).

Kahlee could not have been a better pet sitter. Our dog loved her and she was perfect for him, given that he is a high-energy, single-minded Aussie Shepherd. Also, she could not have been a better house-sitter. She was super helpful, excellent at problem-solving, very respectful and a delightful person. We would love to have her look after our house and dog again and would highly recommend her to others. Lastly, at the risk of sounding overly gushing, if there was an award for the best ... Kahlee cared for our cat Chickadee and looked after our home for two weeks. From day one, her communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring—she kept us regularly updated with thoughtful messages that made it easy to relax while we were away. It was obvious she genuinely cared about Chickadee, not just going through the motions but really paying attention to her needs and personality. It was a real joy to meet Kahlee! We shared a meal and chatted for almost two hours about our cat but mostly about life! I felt very at ease leaving our sweet Peach (5 month old kitten) with her. I would not hesitate to recommend her to look after your pets and home!
Thank you again Louise and Luca! And thank you for trusting me with sweet little Peaches. It was so nice to meet you both and have a lovely warm welcome. It was hard to leave little Peach as well. She was such a joy. I hope you had the best time away in the sunshine. Until next time 😊
