They give us a chance to explore areas of North America we have not visited in the past. We also love making new friends with the house owners we visit.

Hi! We are hoping you will choose us to take care of your home and pets. Although we live in Australia we spend considerable time in the USA each year.. Our 2019 trip to USA was great. In 2019 we were in USA from April 1 to June 6 and had 3 wonderful pet minding sits.

We also pet sat in Florida in 2022. We often stay with Travel Club members, and have house/pet sit for other members on three occasions to date, minding cats and dogs (and fish!).

We love animals and are happy to do all tasks requested by the owners to keep their valued pets safe and happy.


In 2024 we spent 4 weeks in California and Nevada, including 2 fun pet sits in the San Francisco area. We encourage you to read our reviews of those and our older pet sit experiences.

In 2025 we sat a "problem dog" in Canada to great success.

We have recently finished a 'cat' petsit in Austin Texas in March 2026 that was a wonderful chance to see an area of the USA we had not previously visited. We hope to get another USA or Canada petsit before the end of 2026.

We are always keen to explore new areas of Canada.

We are now most interested in pet sits that either have a small car available for short trips, or are in an urban setting with good public transport.

We are both retired Secondary School teachers and have been married for 20 years and lived in Asia and Australia during that time.

Ron built our home here in Australia and is competent at most household maintenance and repairs. Sandar is a meticulous housekeeper.

Ron and Sandar are a delightful couple - very interesting- well travelled and conscientious. My cat loved them and that’s all I need to know!
This was our first time using House Sitters and we were a little nervous. But Ron and Sandar turned out to be perfect for us and our pets. Their communication was very clear and frequent. We felt like we knew them even before they arrived. Right away, our normally anti social dog befriended Sandar. Ron was a new favourite person shortly after. Wow. Ron and Sandar Grant exceeded my expectations. It seems they adjusted quickly to my 3 cats' quirky & sometimes neurotic behaviors and formed a friendly bond with all. They take their 'posts' for their evening meal precisely at 5:30 and the Grants were at the ready with dinner. The plants and flowers were watered and the mail brought in as requested & the house kept super clean. I will not hesitate to have the Grants sit again.

R$on and Sandor were wonderful housesitters for our 2 dogs. They are from Brisbane Australlia and have a rental home in Orlando. They have their own car and drove to Ft. Lauderdale on time and ready to go. Our dogs were walked every day and Ron sent pictures and updates to us every few days. Our house was kept neat and clean. Ron & Sandor are very reliable and I highly reccommend using them as house sitters.

Ron and sandar stayed with our pets, 3 dogs and 1 cat and did a wonderful job. We were in Cananda and we never worried about the animals. One dog has some anxiety and he did very well with them.They took the dogs on long walks everyday. The house was clean when we returned home. I would high recomend them as they are great with animals and their affection for animals was obvious.
