Our names are Dave (age 39) and Kristyn (age 38).

In 2011 Dave left his home in Cork, Ireland to go on a working holiday to Canada. It didn't take long before his visa turned into a citizenship. Our names are Dave (age 39) and Kristyn (age 38).

In 2011 Dave left his home in Cork, Ireland to go on a working holiday to Canada. It didn't take long before his visa turned into a citizenship. He had quickly fallen in love with the Canadian wilderness and all it had to offer: tramping, camping, free diving, spear fishing, foraging, and... Kristyn. Kristyn is a Canadian, who also really loves spending time in nature. When we first met she was living and working in a National Park as a Ranger. Our first date we hiked to a turquoise glacial lake and watched as a mama Grizzly bear and her two cubs splashed around to cool off in the summer heat. The rest is history.

We aspire daily to be kind, compassionate, and humble. We're a fan of slow-living and slow-travel. We love discovering the soul of the places we spend our time in. In 2023 and 2024 we housesat all over New Zealand. We enjoyed the lifestyle and absolutely adored all of the animals and homes we looked after. So we thought why not keep it going back home in Canada.

With us as your sitters your home will be very well looked after. We are both very respectful and in all the places we visit, live by the principles of Leave no Trace.

While we are sitting for you we will be working from home, so your animal babies will be lavished full time with love and attention. We are experienced dog and cat sitters, having sit small and large breeds, puppies to seniors, kittens and cats. And chickens as well. We've also had cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, hamsters, and even a tarantula of our own. We absolutely love all animals and are open to learning how to specifically care for yours.

We will be available throughout 2026 for short and long term house sits.

Dave and Kristyn were fantastic. It was super easy to coordinate meeting. Great communication throughout with lots of photos and updates on how our boys were doing. We came home to a beautifully clean home with two very relaxed and happy cats. Would love to have Dave and Kristyn look after our cats again.
Dave and Kristyn were the perfect house sitters! Super nice people :) They loved our two cats and our cats loved them. We could tell right away that they were pet lovers by the way they smiled at the kitties when they first met them. They were very responsive to our requests ie. I had two Amazon packages come in and they made sure to look out for them and to bring them in. We also got updated frequently with pictures... If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to have them house sit for you don't hesitate to do so, They are the best!!

Kristyn and David were outstanding housesitters. Unfortunately my cat became very sick requiring numerous visits to the vet and a considerable level of care. Their love and care of my aged cat Oscar under such circumstances was truly amazing. The house was absolutely spotless on my return with some great improvements to the functioning of my kitchen storage! I could not have asked for. more in terms of their level of communication over the 3 months I was overseas.

They kept us updated and even sent us pics of the dog while we were away. Highly recommend Dave and Kristyn for anyone looking for friendly, responsible, clean/tidy house sitters!

Bruno was at ease with them and we saw this when we had an early morning walk along the beach the day we headed off. They came up the day prior to our departure and visited in the afternoon to meet our pets and then came back again that evening, as we requested to feed the pets as having a giant breed dog feeding is quite specific. They kept in touch while we were away as needed, with an update on how the first day went. Our dog had a slight upset tummy on the 2nd day and they were great at checking in with us and then prepared him some cooked chicken and rice for ... MoreKristyn & Dave were amazing house sitters.
