I enjoy house and cat cat sitting -so many unique cat personalities. And it enables me to enjoy different communities. I have enjoyed meeting home owners and pets they love in Chelsea QC, NL (St. John’s), Toronto, Calgary, Warrington (UK) One and two cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛and in December, 2024 three cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛. I’m a retired learning consultant. Lots of interests-swimming, embroidery, volunteering with kids, elder (dementia), craft making for fund raising, charity thrift stores sales, pricing etc. Election poll clerk. I love reading, theatre and art. I can care for plants -I had a community garden for years and loved it.

I’d like to house/cat sit in certain places in Canada- the UK, Estonia, Australia, Wales…Fredericton, Nunavut, Peru, PEI, Labrador, Winnipeg, Calgary, Montreal and more…New Orleans.

Delighted cats who loved brushing could give references -Gallagher and Ellie Mae, Simba (pictured). Mouning and Uno and in Toronto -Thuro, Benito and Yuki. Love sending owners updates and photos… I am a wannabe writer and cats tell good stories.

Loved meeting home owners who can vouch for how well their homes were cared for as were their pets. 4 lovely people I met who needed cat sit/ house sit were referred to me word of mouth - friends of friends and I just successfully completed my first site initiated gig with a family in Toronto. References available.

Maureen came to my place and took care of my two cats for two weeks in May 2024. I was able to go on a vacation not worried about the cats as I knew she would take good care of them. She was concerned about feeding them properly but also give them enough 'play time' and 'corridor walks'. Bless her for allowing the cats to sleep with her and getting her toes bitten! I will ask her again with no hesitation as she is friendly and reliable. CG/Ottawa

During the last last four years Maureen has taken care of my cat Simba several times while I was away on holidays or for work. She stayed at my place for a week at a time and besides taking care of my home, Maureen took really good care of Simba. This entailed feeding and playing with him, brushing his hair, cleaning his litter box. Maureen is both mindlful and caring and I was without worry while away. She even would send me updates and photos of Simba which was an extra and really thoughtful. I do recommend fully Maureen for cat sitting without hesitation.

Pet care

I have now cat sat nice lovely cats…all different…all interesting—-Mouning, Uno, Simba, Gallagher, Luna, Bruna and so on. Love Maine Coons. Loved them all. And they loved me! :)

Just a few weeks before Maureen's stay, the almost impossible happened: a bat somehow got into our apartment. Despite the complications this caused, Maureen was amazing throughout: her communication in helping us sort it out was always top-notch. We really hope we'll have the chance to host her again soon. I had a great experience with Maureen. She’s a lovely person and took great care of both my home and my cat, Sushi. Communication was easy, and she was super accommodating when it came to the sitting dates. I really appreciated the daily updates. They gave me so much peace of mind. Maureen was an excellent house sitter. She took great care of my cat. She was also very diligent in performing other related tasks. She communicated well with updates of how things were going. She left my house tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending her for other house sits.

Maureen stayed in our home and watched over our cat Luna for a week and the experience was excellent. Maureen was so easy to coordinate and communicate with. She was wonderful with Luna, who can be anxious, happy to let her adjust slowly to a new person but also being proactive in trying to make friends on Luna’s terms. Our house was in excellent condition when we arrived home, even the flowers and gardens were maintained and well-cared for. We felt entirely comfortable and confident ...
