Hi! We're Melissa and Curtis, a couple based near Calgary who love caring for homes and animals. Reliable, respectful, and experienced, we treat every home as if it were our own.

We began house and pet sitting a few years ago as a way to travel and explore different parts of Alberta, and it quickly became something we genuinely enjoy.

Curtis is a firefighter with the Calgary Fire Department, and I work remotely and am also a textile artist, which means I'm home throughout the day to spend time with pets and care for the home. In our free time, we enjoy hiking, biking, paddle boarding, camping in our camper van, and travelling whenever we can.

We cannot thank Melissa and Curtis enough for the incredible job they did house sitting for us over two weeks. From the moment we returned home, it was obvious how much care, attention, and pride they took in looking after everything. They cared for our three cats and our dog wonderfully, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well loved while we were away. They also went above and beyond in maintaining our property, watering the gardens and greenhouse and keeping everything looking healthy and thriving. We came home to a house that was spotless, tidy, and incredibly well looked after. The entire property was in fantastic condition.

What a lovely couple these two are! You will NOT be disappointed if you are blessed with Melissa and Curtis sitting for you. 😁 First of all, they were terrific with the communication prior to and during their sit for us. They cared for our little homestead so well that we hardly knew that we hadn't been home to do so ourselves. The house was clean and cared for and our animals were given everything they needed in our absence. The cats love them too as was proven by their bypassing us when we ... The house was clean and cared for and our animals were given everything they needed in our absence. The cats love them too as was proven by their bypassing us when we returned, and running to the door to see if they were there. Ha ha. When we were away we had alot of rain over a 48 hour period and there was alot of water that entered, they moved items out of the way and cleaned up without question. We would trust them with any sit and would highly recommend them!

Melissa and Curtis were the most incredible house sitters we have ever had. They not only looked after a very large veggie garden, including mowing a few acres, they did an amazing job with the animals (dog, cats, chickens and horses). Our one horse needed special care with a sensitive sunburn on his nose, and Melissa did a great job covering this. I think it was a lot of work for them, but they never complained about this. The one thing that became a challenge for them, was that it rained a ... MoreMelissa and Curtis were the most incredible house sitters we have ever had. The one thing that became a challenge for them, was that it rained a lot and we had some unprecedented flooding in the basement of our house. But they handled it like pros. This is when you really need to have someone reliable like this couple. In an emergency they figured it out. I would say you would be lucky if they ask to come to your place!

Melissa and Curtis sat for us for a second time and just like previously our home was well cared for in our absence. Thank you to you both.
Melissa and Curtis were great! This was the first time we’ve used a site to find housesitter and it was a little nerve racking at first. Mel and Curtis came to the house and met the animals and us before we left. Before they started and while we were away, communication was great. Always easy to connect with and we got pictures of the animals while we were away. They even got the house ready for a home exchange for us. Melissa and Curtis took wonderful care of our home. We are happy that they can sit for us again soon.
We could not rate Melissa & Curtis more highly! They were amazing - so conscientious from first meeting until after we arrived back. We met with Curtis & Melissa twice prior to our departure to ensure they were a good fit for us and to establish all requirements. Melissa communicated with me before departure date to ensure all details were in hand. During our time away, Melissa contacted me once to request permission to have visitors to house and then to confirm our return time. Upon ... MoreWe could not rate Melissa & Curtis more highly! Melissa and Curtis were awesome! Super responsible, courteous, respectful and prompt communication. They left my place immaculate! They took care of my precious pooch Wylie like he was their own and sent pics of him happily out and about. I highly recommend them and will ask them back :)
