favoriteWhy I love house sitting

I am just beginning my house/animal sitting journey so do not have a lot of experience except for the times I have looked after my neighbours cats and home when she is away on numerous weekends during the year. I do love meeting new animals and hope to look after your's.

My name is Linda, and animals are my passion. I have recently lost my two geriatric giant breed dogs, and am now looking to expand my world to travel and look after other people's animals.

My experience includes being privileged to have cats, giant breed dogs, ferrets, alpacas and chickens in my lifetime. I loved them all so much and the ones that have passed will always be missed. I currently have two wonderful cats and my neighbour and I share cat sitting for each other allowing me to travel a bit.

I also did 9 years of volunteer dog-walking between the Nanaimo and Cowichan and District SPCA which was extremely valuable in learning about walking both easy and also, very challenging and reactive dogs. I have my "Dog Safe" credential which is a first aid certificate for helping injured dogs.

I currently also help my neighbour who has a horse rescue with 6 horses and 3 mules. A couple of times a week, I go over to clean up the horse manure and also groom the horses.

I may be in my 60's, but am healthy and strong still and fiercely independent like a cat. đŸ™‚. I look after my own home and with the help of YouTube, can generally do some straight forward repairs that come up from time to time.
