House sitting combines my two passions: exploring new places, and animals. It is much nicer to stay in a community vs. a tourist-driven location. I am a bit of a home-body in the evenings so appreciate having my own kitchen and living space when travelling.

Hi and thanks for considering me! I am a retired Health and Fitness Manager (University of Calgary) with a passion for nature, animals and exploring. Having spent my summers growing up on our family farm, and living for many years on a small acreage, I am comfortable with both indoor and outdoor garden and animal care. I have been lucky to have shared my life with two horses, one donkey, two German Shepherd crosses and one orange tabby. I also worked as a volunteer assistant for a dog training program at the SPCA many years ago and more recently as a volunteer in a horse riding program for youth with disabilities. Currently, I take care of my two grandkitties and recent addition as of January 2026, border collie cross puppy, several weeks each year. Having said that, I no longer pet-sit other dogs, as I have come to prefer cats.
I am, by nature, routine oriented, so can easily transition to the schedule that matches your pet(s) needs. If you are looking for a sitter who is calm, reliable, trustworthy and able to prioritize the care of your home and pets, I will be excited to hear from you.

Right now, I am only available for shorter (2 week) stays in new places to explore. I especially love anywhere in our Rocky Mountains and Vancouver Island.

Pet care

I have enjoyed four stays through this site, and three by word of mouth. I love the opportunity spend time with your pet and at the same time explore a new neighborhood. I will always leave your home clean and your pet well cared for :)

Pamela came highly recommended and she did not disappoint. She was very patient and kind with my high needs senior cat. They bonded and had lots of cuddles. The plants all did well under her care and the house was clean. She went hiking every day! I highly recommend her as a house and pet sitter, and I would be delighted to have her back again.
Pam is AMAZING! Our home and our boy were in excellent hands with her. She sent us regular updates on how things were going, and left us with a clean and tidy house to arrive back to after a very long journey home. We can't recommend her enough!!

Pam was wonderful! Right from the start I had a good feeling about her when we talked on the phone - then meeting her in person I was reassured that my house and cats were in very good hands!! She gave me updates on the kitties and graciously accepted their gifts! I would happily have Pam back to my house!!
