We are a healthy and active retired couple who spends their winter in Florida (since 2008) and looks forward to new adventures. We are non smokers and fully vaccinated.
With our experience with "Rover" and foster care program at the Humane Society, We look forward to meeting new friends and their pets.

We were so happy to find Richard and Dee to look after our house and our quirky cat. We felt immediately comfortable when we met them. They did a fabulous job maintaining the house and treating the cat like the little prince he's convinced he is. We definitely hope they will be available and interested the next time we travel.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to pet/house sit for Olga and Andre. Our first Facetime meeting put us immediately at ease too. They were well prepared in having people in their home with information on the workings of the house should any emergency arise. Gananoque is a lovely town ... They were well prepared in having people in their home with information on the workings of the house should any emergency arise. Gananoque is a lovely town with friendly people, interesting shops and close proximity to other areas of interest. Our sitting involved one extremely smart cat. We all know that cats are in control. They set the schedule. Java went from aloof to sitting on our laps quite happy with the attention. He loves being brushed, knowing that a small treat will be his reward. We enjoyed every minute of our time. It would be our pleasure to sit for them again.

We were privileged to have Richard and Dee as our house/ cat sitters. It was reassuring to have updates and even a photo of their interactions with "Felix". Despite having a family problem, they remained until we returned home. Felix was completely relaxed and himself, when we returned. Clearly he appreciated their attention and care in our absence. Thank you both, Leslie & Tim
Dee and Richard were just super. They enjoyed the kitties and grew attached to them, especially my male. They sent updates with pictures to show us the kitties. The house was spotless when we arrived home. If possible, we would love to have Dee and Richard each time we go away. Thank you to both of you for doing such a wonderful job!!
After spending time with Richard and Dee before my trip, it felt like they were family. I left knowing they would care for both my cat and my house. A windstorm knocked off lights from my house and Richard repaired the damage. We checked in with each other periodically which suited me fine. I would not hesitate to call them again to look after my fur ball Finny.
Richard and Dee were absolutely amazing at looking after both my house and my 2 cats. They are lovely people who were so nice to deal with, and I felt totally confident leaving my fur babies and my house in their care. They even kept me updated on my cats and the house with a few texts and an email showing pictures. When I came home the house was immaculate, the cats were relaxed and happy and I enjoyed a visit over coffee with Dee and Richard. Even my gardens were well looked after (above ... Even my gardens were well looked after (above and beyond expectation!), and the bedroom they stayed in was clean, the bed stripped with the sheets ready for washing (greatly appreciated). I would highly recommend Richard and Dee for any house sitting position required. I wish they would come again. Lovely lovely people!

Richard and Dee came for the 2nd time to take care of our home while we were overseas. This time we left our dog as well as our cat with them. Both animals received tons of TLC and the house was spotless when we returned. We couldn't ask for better house sitters!
We were delighted to return. This time adding a friendly, tail wagging dog to the super smart cat we minded in September. Our daily walks with the dog gave us the opportunity to meet many of the neighbours. We were provided with all the necessary items for the furry family as well as information ... During our most recent vacation we had Dee and Richard house sit and look after our cat, Dutchie. We invited them to come for supper the day before we left so we had an opportunity to meet them. We could not have asked for nicer people to look after Dutchie. He is usually quite excitable when we get home however this time he was so happy and relaxed, which is a testament to the loving care he received whilst we were away.
