We have been married for 45 years and are both pensioned retirees from Canadian transportation and government employers. We're looking for opportunities to bless others by providing loving care to homeowners' animals and property as if they were our own. We're non-smokers, non-drinkers and respectful of others' homes and property. We are fully vaccinated.

We love the concept of worldwide house sitting and are looking forward to visiting other parts of Canada and meeting a variety of people and pets. We have enjoyed sitting for families in northern California, Alberta, BC, Manitoba Nova Scotia, Barbados, and Maryland. The Covid pandemic thwarted our plans for sits in 2020 and we are hoping to use house sitters on this site to look after our home when we travel as well. Our experiences have been matched up with pet owners on another popular housesitting site and we've made some very dear friends.

Both of us have a variety of experience with animals, ranging from training two Labradors and having farm dogs and cats. We have some experience with a variety of farm animals as well. When our children were young, we had hamsters, dogs and bird. Several times we have pet-sat for friends who have rabbits, dogs and a budgie. We are very responsible home owners who have raised three children who are on their own. Rod's side-line home renovation business has proven to be worthwhile in providing clients in our community with the satisfaction of repairs and maintenance being done with talent and experience. Many years in an administrative role has provided Maureen with a wealth of knowledge on managing routines and systems and I believe both of us as a team could offer you peace of mind knowing that your beloved home and pets will be well looked after. Experienced with working with travellers relating to travelling with their pets, relating to documentation, imports & exports, quarantines, etc.

We have multiple 5-star ratings on another housesitting site that we would love to forward to any home/pet owners.

Maureen and Rod were an absolute pleasure to have in our home. They had great communication. We felt completely safe leaving our pets and home in their care. The house was spotless and they sent us a cute video of the cats playing. We highly recommend them to house sit and take care of your pets.
Great communication to start with in my recommendation of Maureen and Rod. They are a lovely couple who treated my home as theirs when they house sat for my cat Oliver.
