I was born and raised in the Fraser Valley in BC, and I'm now taking some time off to see the world. I love traveling, hiking, cycling, scuba-diving, and have recently started to get into photography (mainly wildlife and landscape/nature).

I've found that as I've gotten older, that although I still love to travel, I prefer to spend longer periods in one spot and really get to know it well, rather than moving from place to place every few days. I think house-sitting is a great way not only to do this, but also to see areas that are often well-off the tourist trail.

My very first house-sit was in the middle of nowhere in rural Panama, taking care of 2 fantastic dogs, Blacky and Rusty, for about a year. It was an amazing experience, and got me interested in house-sitting in other areas. Since then, I've done several house-sits, mostly in BC, Alberta, and Ontario, and have looked after cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, as well as chickens, goats, and horses.

I think if I myself were looking for a house-sitter, my main concern would be that they were responsible. I could leave my place with them, knowing that it would be well taken care of and I wouldn't be coming home to some horror show. And the same would go for my pets - I'd want to know that whoever I was leaving them with would love and take care of them like their own. And so I think "responsible" quite clearly describes me. When I say I'm going to do something, I do it. My partying years are long behind me - I don't drink (zero), don't smoke and no drugs of any kind.

I'm 51 years old and am in excellent health.

Jason was an outstanding housesitter. My two cats were clearly very well cared for, and it was reassuring to receive regular updates and photos of my very contented-looking felines while I was away. The house was left impeccably clean and tidy, and it was especially welcoming to return home to freshly laundered sheets and towels. Jason is an excellent communicator and completely trustworthy. I would not hesitate to recommend him and would happily have him house-sit again.
We are so grateful for Jason! Knowing that our girls would be well cared for gave us such peace of mind during our holiday. Jason was communicative and his calm and caring demeanor quickly made best friends with Maya and even won over our Lucy :). We came back to a sparkling clean home and calm kitties. We would highly recommend Jason for a housesit!
Was very happy with the communication and the care Jason gave us. Phoebe is slower to warm up and he respected that and went at her speed. Was very good at communication even with a large time difference.
Jason did an excellent job taking care of our two older dogs, as well as keeping me up to date about the garden - I would highly recommend him!
Jason is an all round stellar house sitter and cat lover. He is a reliable communicator and the cats were well cared for and happy on our return. I would highly recommend Jason as a house sitter and pet caretaker and hope that he will come and look after our condo and cats again.
