My wife and I have house-sat different homes for the last 28 years, varying lengths of time from several days to almost 19 months for 1 couple. As we are full time RV'ers, we have easily been able to slide into longer house-sitting positions with ease. There are no pets in our life but we love and enjoy our charges when the occasion arises. We have volunteered at several different Christian organizations for extended periods. My background was oil exploration traveling around the world troubleshooting seismic equipment. I guess you would call us organized cleanees.(But we're not fanatics, well maybe we are!) We just want to thank you again for being such great house sitter, pet sitter and friends. You not only took great care of Peni, the house, yard and garden, but you went beyond the call of duty. You fixed breakfast casserole for our friends, Jim and ruthie and us before we left, then had really good chili, milk, butter, bread and eggs waiting for us when we came home. The lawn looked like a golf course, the windows were sparkling clean, the plants all looked great and the the house was very clean. Randy's workshop has never looked so clean. Peni still missed you. Ken and Wendy provided exceptional care for our home and two schnauzers for nearly five weeks in October and November while we were travelling abroad. They respond quickly to our ad and were available to respond to our questions. Our home and dogs were cared for with love and the dogs clearly miss them and their walks. We look at them as friends and hope our paths will cross again!
The house was well kept, helped with unpacking and organizing since I had also just moved into a new home. The yard was well maintained and leaves raked as this stay was during autumn. My pets were well taken care of, both a cat and 12 week old puppy.
