Media Professional with pup (8-year-old springer spaniel) looking to find sits on Vancouver Island via housesitting in May/June/July 2024.

I am presently in Elora ON after landing here 6 months ago from the UK with my PR visa. I am a documentary producer and I work from home so all I need is wifi and I can work anywhere.

We have a Rv4 so I have my own transport but the biggest issue is finding house sits that will accept my furry partner in crime.

He is shy but friendly and loves to bounce around ! He is great with chickens, geese and their dogs but with cats- they need to have cattitude - if they don't care about him he doesn't care about them, but if they run he thinks it's a game. He would never hurt a cat but obviously don't want to scare any with my lumbering idiot of a dog thinking he is playing.

I have references and my last dog sit was in Nova Scotia for a family while they flew back to the Uk. I looked after their dog, chickens, guinea pigs and hummingbirds.

I am also a solo female traveller so looking for safe places only.

Naomi contacted us after we put a post out our local Community FB group looking for a sitter. She had excellent references and her pup could have been the older brother of ours. she looked out 8 month old pup, home and chickens for 10 days whilst we were on vacation in July 2022. She hit it off with out nervous pup straight away, with a new toy and some yummy treats. Mags loved her. She was well looked after, exercised and Naomi also sent us lots of pictures to keep us updated. Plus she did some extra training with her. We were very happy leaving our pup in Naomi's care.

I have known Naomi for many years now and she is great with pets. She has her own dog who is cared for very much and got along with my dog. She is conscious about animals needs and is prepared to look after them with god knowledge of animal first aid having run courses for people on that too. She is a safe pair of hands around your dog and will get them exercised and moving whatever the conditions.
