Our home

We have a bungalow that is joined to one other home. Our neighbourhood is very friendly & close. There is 1 bedroom upstairs & the basement is fully finished with a 2nd bedroom & full bath. We have a brook behind our house & lots of animal (chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons & birds of all kinds) activity. Our screened in deck makes it easy to enjoy the great outdoors without all the bugs. Lol

favoriteWhat we love about our area

We are close to grocery stores, restaurants & recreation facilities. There are great walking/biking trails nearby. We have great neighbours & our dogs love going for their walks to say hi to their friends (both human & 4 legged ones). We also enjoy taking Gypsy & Cricket to our local dog park

Internal stairs, External stairs / steps, While our home is not wheelchair accessible there are only 3 steps into the house. We are doing some renovations upstairs in our bedroom & at this point in time we go downstairs to shower. There is a working powder room on the main level.

I have an 3 year old Pomerian papillon mix named Cricket & an 2 year old English setter named Gypsy. They are friendly & energetic. Both are spayed females & are house broken. They are used to having us home most of the time but can be left home alone for 4+ hours. They are up to date on all vaccines & are healthy.

Minimal - Our garden will be tidy & would not need much attention other than possible watering. We have lots of houseplants that may (but will probably be ok without) watering.

Hubby Brian is semiretired & works as a handyman/gardener & Kathy looks after him & the house. Our kids are spread from western Canada to Australia & Qatar, hence the traveling & need for housesitting

I had a enjoyable time sitting for kathy and brain, they are both very lovely people they made me feel very welcome and comfortable before i started my sit. House was very cosy and comfortable, in a lovely location close to a variety of stores.Both dogs(gypsy and cricket) are full of energy and a joy to be around, enjoyed walking and spending time with them.
