To guide you through our profile, each paragraph addresses a separate topic in this order: professional sitting, our promise, our story, and pet care.
This makes for a lengthy read. But given that you are planning to leave your most precious earthly possessions in the care of what could be considered strangers, we believe you are hungry to know all that you possibly can about us.
-------------------------------------------------
As allowed by the terms and conditions of this website, we charge for our services. The foremost nightmare scenario for pet owners is a last-minute cancellation from sitters they have booked months in advance. The solution we offer is to put some extra work in the interview process, sign a mutually beneficial contract and pay a booking fee. That way, there is a professional agreement binding you and your sitters. To ensure we quote the lowest possible amount that enables us to commit to sitting for you, we ask you to do a phone interview with us first. Then, we can offer you a quote with the confidence that it is the most fair price. Our quote is determined by four major criteria: location of house, timing of project, sit duration, and complexity of pet/property care.
-------------------------------------------------
We are obsessed with two qualities: reliability and safety. When you sign a contract with us, safety of your earthly possessions becomes our top priority, along with a commitment to deliver on this reliably. Once we have negotiated the terms to a contract, and put pen to paper, nothing will shift our commitment to your house sit, unless there is a deliberate breach of the terms of contract.
-------------------------------------------------
Since meeting each other 6 years ago, we have travelled all over Canada and successfully completed sits in city centers, suburbs, countryside, forest cabins and waterside properties. All of these properties have their unique charms and challenges, with the accumulated experiences allowing us to anticipate what any house sit project will look like.
What continues to fascinate us in this profession is the perfectly symbiotic relationship that home owners and sitters can achieve. What is usually a major social strength (home ownership and possessions) becomes a massive liability when it comes time to travel. Conversely, what is considered a setback (lack of material possessions) becomes a competitive advantage for someone looking to be the best in the profession of house sitting. It is this symbiosis that we seek out: the eternal clash between the joy of freedom and comfort of roots.
-------------------------------------------------
Throughout our sitting experiences, we have encountered dogs, cats, horses, chicken, llamas, alpacas, and rabbits of all personalities. We have a video showing our pet sit experiences too. If you scroll through our pictures, you'll see a link.

Best wishes with your travels, from your favorite Critters!
