Hello we are Doug and Sara. Doug is a Vancouver lawyer in a small human rights firm and Sara is a writer and tour group leader with Road Scholar Canada. We enjoy the practicality of housesitting - it is simply a great idea. We especially like it when it involves sharing the joy of loved pets. Doug was a long term home owner - with pets - but now that his kids are young adults he is out and about with Sara living life. Sara is a lifelong explorer and good friend to many who loves meeting humans and ADORES pets. As a long term homeowner Doug is fully knowledgeable of home maintenance needs with an assortment of middle-aged-man superpowers. Douglas stayed in my home with my kitty for a week and was fabulous! He and I communicated several times before I left and while I was away. I came home to a very clean home and a well-loved kitty. The best result ever. I highly recommend him as trustworthy, responsible and a very positive person to boot!

No rating Doug was an ideal house sitter. Great communicator, respectful, and left a small footprint in my home. He was generous- offered to care for any minor household issues that may arise, left food and beverage when he left and, importantly, cleared the walks of snow when needed; and flexible- worked with me to fine tune the details of the house sit.
