Hello. We are Rose (New Zealand) and Victor (Australia) globally mobile citizens on their extended senior citizens gap year. From June 2022, we spent eleven months in the UK, Europe and Switzerland, then two months back in Canberra, Australia. We are currently in Canada for three months with house sits booked in Calgary, Kelowna and Edmonton. From there we will be spending three months in the USA, and to finish off this leg of our journey, we will be on Vancouver Island for the month of February 2024.
Victor is ex RAAF and a retired Public Servant and I am a retired Bookkeeper and a published author. We are an active married couple in our mid sixties. Non smokers. We are self reliant. independent, reliable, responsible, adaptable and easy going. We are both Covid-19 vaccinated with three boosters.
We have travelled and moved around Australia and overseas for many years with the RAAF, including postings to Malaysia and the Solomon Islands.
We are experienced house sitters who since 2011, have looked after dogs (large & small), cats and poultry in the UK, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Vancouver Island, Canada, Malta, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
Our personal travels have also taken us to the USA, Vanuatu, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.
Our dogs have always been an integral part of our family, spending time with us inside and outside the house. We miss our beloved Collie Jess, who passed on April 2021 so now we look forward to showering our love and affection on the pets that come with the house sit.
We love the great outdoors, the peace and quiet of the countryside, as well as the hustle and bustle of city life. We walk every day, and like to spend time in the garden. We love to cook, and are always happy to curl up with a good book, watch a movie or sport on the telly.
We enjoy exploring new neighbourhoods and having coffee at the local cafe and watching the world go by. Our passion is travel and exploring new surroundings, so house sitting gives us the opportunity to feel like part of the community, and not just a tourist.
We do not charge for our house sitting services, and do not expect to pay a bond or utilities for short assignments (less than 6 weeks).
We are happy to supply further references. Victor has a current Police check as he has been a volunteer with our local RFS.

Absolutely amazing house sitters - These guys are first Class. Our dog & cat were so well look after, we are not sure they wanted us to come home ! The house was so immaculate when we came home we wondered if we had walked into the right house. We would thoroughly recommend Rose & Victor not only are they first class professional house sitters, they are lovely people too.
It was a real pleasure having Rose and Victor looking after our home and two dogs. They were excellent company, cared for the dogs very well and kept the house very tidy.

It was a pleasure to meet Rose & Victor - and just as important, knowing that our dog Rocky was being very well looked after, and that he was happy with them, meant we could enjoy our wedding/honeymoon trip even more.
It was great to be able to do several Zoom calls with Rose & Victor - one while they were still in Australia, another when they'd arrived in the UK. As they did a housesit close to us we were even able to meet up in person a month before they came to stay at ours.

Rose and Victor were excellent house sitters. They were clean, considerate, and very good with our large puppy. They helped us feel confident and comfortable with leaving him. They also took good care of our house and were fun to chat with when we were there. We very much recommend them as house/dog sitters.
It was great to finally meet Victor and Rose having first communicated some months ago via FaceTime!
They looked after are dogs , chickens and house extremely well. They had a evening meal ready for us on our return and even filled up the sweet tin!!

Victor and Rose were a pleasure to have as our recent house sit. They communicated in a timely manner prior and throughout our trip. They arrived the day before for a handover.
Our home was lovely clean and tidy and the house yard mowed on return. Rose also prepared a meal on our return that was so appreciated.
A surprise touch of fresh roses was a pleasant surprise.

Brian and i were very happy with Rose and VIC. The house was lovely when we arrived home. The gardens were very well maintained and the dog and cat were not fazed at all by our return. They were very well cared for in every way. They prepared a lovely meal for us on our return home. And a lovely bunch of flowers were on the table as well

Rose & Victor were fantastic house sitters & we definitely hope they can house sit for us again in the future. As soon as we met them we felt confident that they were very capable & would care for our home. The were excellent communicators & keep in touch with us. We have a pool, garden & a large number of Bonsais which they cared for extremely well. It was lovely to come to a very clean house & a garden that looked great. We would highly recommend them.
We found Rose and Victor both were very proficient looking after our property while we were away even though they overcame some challenges involved in doing this.
They did what we asked and left the cabin clean and tidy. Also our home.
They had a great communication, asking us questions when needed.
Left positive feedback and recommendations, which we have now addressed.
Overall a great job - thankyou! We would recommend them as house sitters and are welcome back at any time.
