We are a retired couple in our late 60s who love to travel the world, and house sitting has allowed us to experience more of Canada as well. We have completed several assignments so far. In 2023, we completed a four-week house and dog sit in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, BC. Additionally, in 2023, we undertook a two-week assignment in the mountainous town of Canmore, AB, looking after a house and a very affectionate golden retriever. Prior to that, we spent five weeks house and dog sitting on Pender Island, BC, and in 2019, we had a three-week assignment in Victoria, BC, tending to a house and a garden. In 2018, we cared for a house and a dog for three weeks in Squamish, BC. Each experience was wonderful, and we eagerly look forward to more in the future. In the fall of 2021, we spent eight days house sitting at our niece's house in Port Moody, taking care of their three-year-old Bernedoodle. Additionally, we have been looking after our neighbor's house and their cat while they were away on vacation.
We are a mature, considerate, responsible, tidy, and reliable couple. Neither of us smokes. We are active and enjoy walking, hiking, biking, golfing, and sightseeing. Being homeowners ourselves, we understand the importance of treating your home as if it were our own. We are very comfortable with light weeding, lawn maintenance, watering plants, and caring for small pets. Although we do not currently have pets, we have had cats, bunnies, hamsters, fish, and birds when our kids were young.
