I am a retired teacher of the visuallly impaired. My hubby works from home transcribing print to braille. We have been doing housesits for many years and have excellent references. We are non-smokers who love animals and will treat your home as if it were our own. We are originally from Winnipeg. I was offered a job with the Vancouver School Board in 2008 and we now reside in Courtenay, BC.

Debbie spent a weekend keeping Odee company and took care of our house. When we came home Odee was happy and the house was in great shape, We would love to have her back any time.

Debbie was fantastic. From the start communication was great. While I was away she kept in touch every day. When I got home, the dogs were settled, obviously well cared for, and happy. Oh my gosh. Not enough to say about how great Debbie was. Firstly she responded to my request immediately and then put up with all my last minute frazzled communication. I hadn't left my 'babies' with anyone before but would not hesitate to ask Debbie to sit for me again. I had worries for Finn or Murphy and she was just lovely. Thank you so much Debbie!

Debbie and Gordon did a great job taking care of our dogs. They were also very good in handling a freak wind storm that downed power for almost 4 days, getting the generators operational, and getting more water and gas, and still caring for the animals. Debbie and Gordon are perfect house sitters. Very friendly and they love pets!! This was the first time that when we returned home that we could tell our dogs were very well looked after. Usually they need about 2 days to get over the stress of having strangers in the house, not this time. In fact I think they were sad to see Debbie and Gordon leave.
