Thank you for dropping by my profile and considering me for your pet and housesitting needs.

I am a single, quiet, clean, non smoker, non drinker who loves being around animals and the peaceful beauty of Mother Nature...

I grew up in Australia and then set off travelling in my 20's. I lived in the US for about 20 years working in tourism, hospitality and property management. More recently I have been in Australia since 2020 and I am now heading back up north to Canada (BC) in Oct 2024. I will be working remotely part time from home so would be able to provide lots of company for your pets.

I truly adore cats and dogs and find a lot of joy in caring for them. I am usually at home with them a lot of the time and they tend to bond with me very quickly.

I will ensure your home and pets are very well looked after so you can enjoy your holiday knowing that all is well at home. I can send updates or photos of your pets while you are away so you don't miss them too much.

I am also happy to have a phone or video chat in person if you wish prior to any booking.

We decided at the last minute that we would like a housesitter to come and keep our kitten and elderly dog company as we went on a week-long summer holiday. Melinda was amazing, offering to help at such short notice and being willing to meet our sometimes judgmental K9 before we headed off. Melinda was prompt with communication and easy to talk to. We arrived home to two very happy and contented pets.

Melinda was an amazing house sitter, highly recommend. I needed someone at the last minute and was so happy that Melinda was available. My cats were well looked after. Melinda understood their needs and was able to accomodate so their routine remained the same. Melinda left the place tidy and clean. Great communicator.

I was very lucky Melinda was able to house sit for us at quite short notice. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet in person because of travel arrangements but her communication was great. We have a very needy pooch plus a small garden which included some new seedlings, and both the pets and plants were happy and healthy when we returned. We were very happy.

Having Melinda care for Luna and Pippa was great. Melinda came for a greet and meet before the sit and the pets responded to her caring nature immediately. Luna (skittish cat) came to her to say hi very quickly which made me very comfortable to leave the pets in Melinda's care. Melinda also treated our home with respect and upon my return the house was tidy as we left it.
