We understand that this is a challenging time for many Canadians. Even though Nationally we are flattening the curve, the COVID-19 effects vary within territories and provinces. Local governments are working with public health authorities to update restrictions depending on the area.
It is extremely important to maintain physical distancing and hygiene protocols. If you are on a house sit, or need a house sitter, please ensure you follow physical distancing and hand washing guidelines.
This means on a house sit, the home must be thoroughly cleaned by the owner at the commencement of the sit, and then cleaned thoroughly by the sitter at the end of the sit.
If a sitter or owner has any symptoms, even mild ones, make sure you get tested and then stay home while waiting for the results
It is important to remember that this is only temporary. There will come a time where we can travel freely again. We understand the impact this has on you as part of our house-sitting community and the uncertainty you may be feeling given the current health crisis.
In the meantime, stay safe by keeping up to date with the current protocols. Find out country wide information here: https://www.canada.ca/en.html.
Our house-sitting community will get through this and go on to thrive again, safely.
Please know that you can contact us if you have any questions or need assistance at any time.
