Nestled in the serene rural landscape of Guysborough County, we are part of the largest and most sparsely populated county in Nova Scotia. Our home offers breathtaking ocean views and is surrounded by limitless opportunities to explore wild spaces, whether along the shore or in the countryside. Enjoy hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and more in this natural haven.

While our location is wonderfully tranquil, please note that it is quite rural, about 4 hours from Halifax, and lacks nightlife and clubbing options. Instead, you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty and peacefulness of our surroundings.

Our open-concept home is designed to accommodate my wheelchair, providing ease and accessibility. We share our home with our loving pets: two friendly dogs, Boomer and Jigger, our partly blind cat Pollyanna, our shy girl cat Bella, and our Maine Coon, Lucia. They are all affectionate and enjoy the company of people. Bella is shy and will need some time to come out of her shell, Pollyanna loves to play fetch with her furry balls, and Lucia just loves to snuggle.

We are seeking a responsible house sitter who will:

- Care for our pets, ensuring they are fed, loved, and attended to.
- Clean the cat litter daily.
- Water the plants every few days.
- Keep our home tidy and well-maintained.
- Mow the lawn and maintain the garden to keep the outside looking nice.

Additionally, we need someone reliable who can ensure our pets are not left alone in case of unforeseen circumstances, similar to what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Our previous sitter left unexpectedly, and we had to rely on neighbors to care for our pets until we could return home a week later.

Please note that we have a nurse appointment for my husband once a week. To accommodate this, we park our RV in the morning so the nurse can service him comfortably. We will handle all the logistics, but we appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding this weekly routine.

Furthermore, our home uses well water, so conserving water is important, especially during the summer months when the well can run dry. We ask that you be mindful of water usage to ensure a consistent supply.

We need a house sitter so we can spend the summer camping closer to town at our friend's place. This arrangement allows us to enjoy the best of both worlds—time in town and the tranquility of our rural home.
