We need a house sitter

National Capital - Lanark

Barry

Log house on 8 acres. The house has all the usual amenities. There are 2 bedrooms, There is a lake just up the road and other lakes nearby. We are rural, but basic shopping is nearby (8 km) with Perth, Almonte or Carleton Place about 35 minutes away. We are on a paved country road. Neighbours are nearby. This is a quiet spot with plenty of nature close at hand. Hiking and walking are easily available. Please do not use perfumes or other strong scents in the house.

We had a super time at Helen and Barry's beautiful location in Lanark County. We had a chance to go snowshoeing on their property before the rain started a few days later, lots of deer to see close to the house. It was a pleasure looking after their gang and having the opportunity to experience rural life including snow-shoveling, splitting wood and quiet nights. Helen & Barry were wonderful to house sit for. Morla the tortoise was a peculiar fascinating creature, and taught me a lot about taking it slow... Gracie the cat was so sweet, friendly and cuddly. And I've never seen this many blue jays in one area. It was crazy!!! The fish did good job at being fish.
