Marisa & Colt

Hello hello!

My name is Marisa and my Partner Colt and I got into house sitting beginning of 2023 after we were on a working holiday in New Zealand. We did some house sitting in New Zealand and loved our experience exploring different cities and areas. We are both from Calgary and love being in different neighbourhoods and watching different fur babies. We decided to continue house sitting when we returned to Calgary and have been doing it since we've been home. We love the house community and enjoy being able to help others feel like their home and pets are in good hands while they are travelling. We have had very positive experiences house sitting and met some amazing people along the way.

A little bit about us:

We both love adventure, exploring new places, and living an active healthy lifestyle. I compete in Crossfit and Olympic weightlifting, and work in the fitness industry. I also manage and serve at Diner Deluxe in Calgary. My partner plays basketball and is an elevator mechanic by trade. We both love to surf, hike, do yoga, workout, and meditate. We both have done extensive amounts of travelling. Marisa has lived in the UK and Germany, and has been all over Asia, Europe, South America, and Oceania. Colt has also been through Asia, South America, and the US.

So far, we have looked after dogs and cats. Marisa grew up with birds, cats, fish, and rabbits, and has also fostered with AARCS. Colt has tons of farm experience, grew up with dogs, cats, snakes, and farm animals; as well as volunteered with AARCS training dogs. Some of our other responsibilities have included yard work (mowing, weed wacking), house maintenance (fixing broken garage doors, winterizing gardens, fixing vehicles), cleaning house interior. You name it! We are handy, and are happy with maintenance, cleaning, yard work ect. We are not afraid of hard work and going above and beyond expectations. We are both mature, and respectful and are open communicators.
