Hi there!

I'm Jo (35yrs). :) Born and raised in the beautiful Tasman District, New Zealand. I grew up on a rural property with our four horses, 2 cats and 1 dog. Needless to say, I love animals!

I love housesitting, and being able to experience different homes and ways of life. In fact, I housesat my way through university (2016 - 2018), when I went back to study at University of Otago to achieve my Bachelor of Commerce degree (Management; Entrepreneurship).

Since the world has re-opened after Covid, I have been dipping my toes back into the housesitting lifestyle (in my hometown of Motueka, NZ), and am now relocating to Vancouver in July (2024) on a 2yr working holiday visa.

I value quality of life, and I love being in a home environment. I prefer to look after myself and I highly value, and am passionate about health and well-being. Some of my interests are personal growth, sports, outdoor activities, yoga, writing, reading and quality time with friends.

Having Jo as a house sitter was a great pleasure! She was super reliable and went the extra mile for us, our house and our animals. She didn't only feed the sheep, chickens and the cat - she also made friends with them and even helped our 13-yo son keeping his little egg delivery business running with our neighbours! After all she left the house tidy and we will certainly ask her again next time when we need someone to take care of our property!

Joanna was just the right person for our house sit. She looked after our 3 dogs really well and even took on the extra pup when he visited for the day. She kept the house clean and tidy and communicated really well. We couldn't ask for a better person to sit for us and we recommend her to other people looking for a house / pet sitter - although we would like to keep her for ourselves!!

Jo did a great job looking after our dog, three alpacas, and house for three weeks whilst we were in the u.k. Our dog, who is very nervous in certain situations, was looked after well and our three alpacas were fine. A very capable person who can use good judgement with animals and who would be welcome back to look after everything again for us anytime; if our neighbours don't pinch her first. Joanna did a wonderful job of looking after our two cats and house for a month in the middle of Dunedin's winter. I would recommend Joanna to anyone considering Joanna as a house and animal sitter. When we got home, our cats were happy and content and the house was immaculate. We would totally trust her to sit for us again. To top it off, having met Joanna before we left, we can say not only is a bubbly person but she is also a trustworthy person.
